1. Revising Nitrogen Recommendations For Wheat In Response To The Need For Support Of Variable-rate Nitrogen ApplicationSampling studies in North Dakota conducted from 1994 to 2003 showed that variable-rate N application could be practically directed with zone soil sampling. Results from variable-rate N studies using zone soil sampling were often less than rewarding due in part to the use of a whole-field predicted yield-based formula for developing the N recommendation in each zone. Nitrogen rate studies on spring wheat and durum were established in 2005 through 2009 to reexamine N recommendations. The results... D. Franzen, G. Endres, R. Ashley, J. Staricka, J. Lukach, K. 2. Using Electronic Technology to Remotely Monitor Conditions, Transfer the Data, and Display Data Real-time on the InternetThis session describes the use of electronic equipment to monitor soil temperature and moisture, air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, solar radiation, leaf wetness, and rainfall. Presenter will explain how to use the equipment to monitor conditions, transfer the data, and display the information in real-time on the Internet.... R. Ashley, J. Nowatzki |
3. Active Optical Sensor Algorithms For Corn Yield Prediction And In-Season N Application In North DakotaA recent series of seventy seven field N rate experiments with corn (Zea mays, L.) in North Dakota was conducted. Multiple regression analysis of the characteristics of the data set indicated that segregating the data into those with high clay soils and those with medium textures increased the relationship between N rate and corn yield. However, the nearly linear positive slope relationship in high clay soils and coarser texture soils with lower yield productivity indicated... L. Sharma, H. Bu, R. Ashley, G. Endres, J. Teboh, D.W. 4. Agronomic Characteristics of Green Corn and Correlations with Productivity for the Establishment of Management Zones in Vale Do Ribeira, SP, BrazilIn Brazil, the progressive development in the cultivation of the corn for consumption in the green stadium stands by the relevant socio-economic role that this related to multiple applications, the attractive market price and continuous demand for the product in nature. Therefore, this study was to analyze the correlations and spatial variability of the productivity of the culture of the green corn in winter, in alluvial soil of the type Cambisols eutrophic in the amount areas and Hydromorphic... 6. AgDataBox-IoT Application Development for Agrometeorogical Stations in Smart FarmCurrently, Brazil is one of the world’s largest grain producers and exporters. Brazil produced 125 million tons of soybean in the 2019/2020 growing season, becoming the world’s largest soybean producer in 2020. Brazil’s economic dependence on agribusiness makes investments and research necessary to increase yield and profitability. Agriculture has already entered its 4.0 version, also known as digital agriculture, when the industry has entered the 4.0 era. This new paradigm uses... A. Hachisuca, E.G. Souza, E. Mercante, R.
