1. Adjustment of Corn Population and Nitrogen Fertilization Based on Management Zones

The main objective of this study was to adjust the corn population and nitrogen fertilization according to management zones, based on past grain yield maps (seven of soybean and three of corn) and soil electrical conductivity. 3. Using Informative Bayesian Priors and On-farm Experimentation to Predict Optimal Site-specific Nitrogen Rates

Most U.S. Corn Belt states now recommend the Maximum Return to Nitrogen (MRTN) method for determining optimal nitrogen rates, which is based on 15 years of on-farm yield response to nitrogen trials.
