Board of Directors - The ISPA is governed by an international Board of Directors consisting of the Board President, President-Elect, Immediate Past-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Regional Representatives.  The Regional Representatives serve as liaisons between the ISPA board and the members of the region they represent. The five regions are Africa, Asia/Oceania, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America.  Candidates for officers are nominated by the ISPA Board of Directors and the ISPA membership and elected by the society members.

Country Representatives - The Society would like to have two Country Representatives from each country represented in the society. Country Representatives serve to help promote ISPA by championing the ISPA mission and purpose in the country they represent.  Country Representatives must hold an active ISPA membership and live in the country they represent.  Applications are reviewed and decided on by the Board of Directors.

Excecutive Secretary - ISPA has a part-time paid position of an Executive Secretary who provides administrative management and support to the society activities. Isabelle Rund of PAQ Interactive, Inc. is the current Executive Secretary.

Responsibilities of the ISPA President:
The President, if present, shall preside at all meetings of the members and the Board of Directors. At each meeting of the members, the President or the President's designee shall report on the activities of the Corporation. This position will also lead the organization of the International Conference on Precision Agriculture and communicating with Country Representatives. Subject to the general control of the Board of Directors, the President shall manage and supervise all the affairs of the Society and shall perform all the usual duties of the chief executive officer of a non-profit corporation.

Term of office: Two years

Responsibilities of the ISPA Past-President:
The Past-President shall serve in an advisory role but does not have Board voting rights. A duty of the Past-President will be to review the annual financial transactions of the society including cross-checking with financial accounts. The Past-President attends Board meetings and can accept roles and responsibilities as requested by the President.​

Responsibilities of the ISPA President-Elect:
Subject to the general control of the Board of Directors, if the President is not present, the President-Elect shall discharge all the usual functions of the President and shall have such other powers and duties as these Regulations, the Board of Directors or an officer authorized by the Board may prescribe. The president-elect start the process of identifying the location for holding the International Conference of Precision Agriculture that will occur when he or she is president and once rotated into President position lead the organization effort of the conference. The President-Elect will also be responsible for collecting Board member nominations for any elections and working with the Executive Secretary on creating and distributing any e-mail or online ballots. The President-elect will chair all ISPA awards committees with results announced during ICPA or similar precision agriculture conference.​

The Secretary shall attend all meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors, and prepare, keep, or cause to be kept, a true and complete record and minutes of the proceedings of such meetings, and shall perform a like duty, when required, for all committees appointed by the Board of Directors. If the secretary is unable to attend a regular Board meeting, the meeting recording will be used to create the minutes or the secretary can identify another officer or the Executive Secretary to record the minutes during the Board meeting.​

Responsibilities of the ISPA Treasurer:
The Treasurer shall keep correct and complete records of account, showing accurately at all times the financial condition of the Society. The Treasurer shall have charge and custody of, and be responsible for, all funds, notes, securities and other valuables which may come into the possession of the Corporation and shall deposit, or cause to be deposited, all funds of the Corporation with such depositories as the Board of Directors shall designate. At the end of each year, the Treasurer, or the Treasurer's designee, shall provide a financial report summarizing the financial condition of the Society. This annual summary report will be published in an ISPA newsletter. The Treasurer, or the Treasurer's designee, shall furnish, at meetings of the Board of Directors or whenever requested, a statement of the financial condition of the Corporation, and in general shall perform all duties pertaining to the office of Treasurer.

Responsibilities of the Regional Representatives and Officers:

The Regional Representatives and officers shall attend Board meetings regularly, if not all, and vote on motions. They will also represent the interest of the membership of the region they represent and contribute to the newsletter and other society programs and communications along with helping identify Country Representatives. The Regional Representatives and officers serve as liaisons between the ISPA board and the members of the region they represent.  These five regions are based on the countries associiated with the regional precision agriculture conferences: AAPA, AfCPA, CLAP and ECPA.
