Durante o 11º Congresso Brasileiro de Agricultura de Precisão e Digital (ConBAP) e a 17ª International Conference on Precision Agriculture (ICPA), que ocorrem de 13 a 16 de julho, em Porto Alegre (RS) um dos destaques da área de exposição será uma demonstração prática de como a espectroscopia pode acelerar o diagnóstico nutricional das plantas e apoiar decisões de manejo mais rápidas no campo.
No estande do IBRA megalab, produtores, consultores e pesquisadores poderão levar amostras foliares para realizar uma análise instantânea utilizando tecnologia de espectroscopia. A proposta é mostrar, na prática, como essa ferramenta pode complementar as análises laboratoriais convencionais, reduzindo significativamente o tempo necessário para obtenção de informações sobre o estado nutricional das culturas.
A demonstração ganha ainda mais relevância para quem já possui resultados laboratoriais da mesma amostra. Nesses casos, será possível comparar os dois métodos e conhecer o potencial da diagnose instantânea como apoio à agricultura de precisão, tema central do ConBAP & ICPA, que reunirá cerca de 900 participantes de 28 países para discutir aplicações de inteligência artificial, robótica, análise de dados, sensoriamento remoto e outras tecnologias já utilizadas na agricultura.

International Conference on Precision Agriculture (ICPA) to Be Held Outside the Northern Hemisphere for the First Time, in Brazil, Together with ConBAP

From July 13 to 16, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, will become the global hub of precision agriculture by hosting the 11th Brazilian Congress on Precision and Digital Agriculture (ConBAP) and the 17th International Conference on Precision Agriculture (ICPA).
Organized by the Brazilian Association of Precision and Digital Agriculture (AsBraAP) in partnership with the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA), the event will take place at the PUCRS Events Center and is expected to attract more than 1,000 specialists, researchers, companies, and farmers from several countries.
This edition marks a historic milestone for the sector: for the first time, ICPA will be held outside North America, reinforcing Brazil's leadership in precision and digital agriculture. The conference is expected to welcome a highly qualified international audience while benefiting from ConBAP's strong Latin American participation.
“Another highlight is the record number of scientific submissions, with 512 papers received, demonstrating the growing interest of both academia and the market in data-driven, automated, and intelligent agricultural solutions,” said AsBraAP President Marcio Albuquerque.
The event aims to promote networking, foster scientific collaboration, accelerate professional development, provide an exhibition area for agricultural technology companies, and offer a fully integrated technical program combining ConBAP and ICPA.
Program Highlights
On July 13, following the workshops, the official opening ceremony will be followed by an international panel on precision and digital agriculture around the world, featuring José Paulo Molin (Esalq/USP), Davide Cammarano (Aarhus University, Denmark), and Brenda Ortiz (Auburn University, USA).
On July 14, sessions include agricultural robotics with Wen-Hao Su (China Agricultural University), integrated production systems and low-carbon agriculture with Alberto Bernardi (Embrapa), fertilizer recommendation advances with Luciano Gatiboni (North Carolina State University), and digital soil mapping applications with Raul Poppiel (Esalq/USP).
On July 15, the program features advanced data analytics with researchers from the National University of Córdoba (Argentina), precision irrigation with George Vellidis (University of Georgia, USA), and a panel discussing the current landscape of precision agriculture in Brazil.
On July 16, the conference highlights the role of artificial intelligence in precision agriculture with Silvia Massruhá, President of Embrapa, followed by award presentations and the closing ceremony.
Throughout the four-day event, participants will also have opportunities for networking, scientific community meetings, and visits to the agricultural technology exhibition.

ConBAP & ICPA Surpasses 500 Registrations with Participants

Registration remains open, and organizers expect to welcome approximately 1,000 participants, including researchers, specialists, companies, consultants, students, and farmers.
The Brazilian Congress on Precision and Digital Agriculture (ConBAP) and the International Conference on Precision Agriculture (ICPA), to be held from July 13 to 16 at the PUCRS Events Center in Porto Alegre, Brazil, have already surpassed 500 registrations, with participants from 28 countries, more than one month before the event begins. Organizers expect the number of registrations to double before the conference opens.
As of early June, attendees had already confirmed from countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. In addition to Brazil, participants include representatives from the United States, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Israel, China, Argentina, France, the Netherlands, Japan, and Australia, among others. This diversity highlights the event's ability to connect researchers, professionals, companies, and institutions working to advance precision and digital agriculture across different production systems.
Organized by the Brazilian Association of Precision and Digital Agriculture (AsBraAP) in partnership with the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA), the event will feature internationally recognized experts discussing artificial intelligence, agricultural robotics, advanced data analytics, soil management, precision irrigation, integrated production systems, and low-carbon agriculture.
Another indicator of the event's strength is the record number of scientific papers submitted. A total of 512 papers were received, covering a wide range of topics in precision and digital agriculture and demonstrating the growing interest from academia and industry in data-driven, automated, and intelligent agricultural solutions.
According to AsBraAP President Marcio Albuquerque, these figures reflect the importance of the event. “For the first time, the ICPA will be held outside North America and, together with ConBAP, it stands out for the diversity of topics and technologies presented, as well as the interest shown by people from all over the world,” he said.
The program includes keynote presentations, panel discussions, scientific sessions, workshops, technical visits, and a technology exhibition, promoting knowledge exchange among researchers, companies, consultants, students, and farmers.

Inteligência artificial transforma a pulverização seletiva e amplia a eficiência no campo
Tecnologia desenvolvida pela gaúcha Eirene Solutions identifica plantas daninhas em meio à cultura e reduz significativamente o uso de herbicidas, promovendo ganhos econômicos e ambientais para os produtores rurais.
A agricultura de precisão tem avançado rapidamente nos últimos anos, impulsionada pelo uso de inteligência artificial e novas ferramentas digitais capazes de tornar as operações mais eficientes e sustentáveis. Ao direcionar a pulverização apenas para os pontos necessários, o sistema reduz desperdícios, minimiza a geração de resíduos químicos e contribui para uma agricultura mais sustentável e eficiente.
Atualmente, a tecnologia SaveFarm está presente em mais de 300 máquinas em operação no Brasil, distribuídas em diferentes regiões produtoras, além de países como Argentina, Paraguai e Uruguai.
