On the afternoon of July 16th (Thursday), participants of ICPA and ConBAP will have the opportunity to take part in a guided visit to the hub’s facilities in Porto Alegre.
The program will begin with an institutional overview of the innovation ecosystem, followed by visits to some affiliated deep-tech companies and laboratories dedicated to innovation-driven R&D. Participants will gain insight into AgTech entrepreneurship initiatives and practical demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies applied to the agricultural sector. The visit will also provide valuable opportunities for interaction with scientists, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who are shaping the future of digital agriculture.

CEDRA – Center for Embedded Devices and Research in Digital Agriculture is an EMBRAPII Competence Center in Digital Agriculture, operated by the SENAI Innovation Institute (SENAI-RS). The center works on the development of digital technologies for the agricultural sector, with a focus on embedded devices, sensing systems, and applied research. It is located in São Leopoldo/RS, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre.
Operating through a collaborative model, CEDRA is the result of the articulation between leading national institutions in innovation, technology, and industrial development, bringing together research groups, associated companies, and startups around a shared agenda of applied research and human-capital development.
On Thursday afternoon, participants of ICPA and ConBAP are invited to a satellite event at CEDRA's facilities in São Leopoldo. The program is organized into five panels covering competence centers and agro living labs, AgroDataSpaces and interoperability, nanosatellite applications, decentralized renewable-energy irrigation, and new sensor technologies. The sessions bring together researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from Brazil and abroad, with contributions from institutions in the United States, Serbia, France, Germany, and Pakistan.

On the afternoon of July 16 (Thursday), a guided visit to the company’s headquarters in Porto Alegre will be held, focusing on the presentation of practices and solutions adopted by the company. The visit will begin with a welcome session and institutional presentation, followed by tours through different thematic stations: Precision Agriculture, Innovation, Operational Management Control Tower, Mechanized Operations Center, Agricultural Intelligence Center, and Logistics. The program includes direct interaction with specialists and demonstrations of digital capabilities applied to agribusiness, reinforcing SLC Agrícola’s position as a benchmark in digital transformation applied to agriculture.
