ISPA is developing a Digital Agriculture definition and we would like to hear from our ISPA membership currently working in Digitial Ag or expecting to do so. This survey will inform the definition committee. We split this into four broad questions:

a. Where, within food systems, do you operate?
b. What technologies do you consider most important? (We suggest four classes: data collection, control tech, modeling/AI and comms/networking.)
c. How do you believe technology creates value? (We suggest three classes: increased efficiency, better processes, and assett management.)
d. Who do you expect gains value from digitial ag?

The ISPA Board would like to thank all the members for input and suggestions for improving the ISPA operations and services.   In 2025, ISPA implemented a website redesign featuring expanded member resources and enhanced search capabilities to improve access to information (www.ispag.org). The ISPA Board approved hosting the 17th International Conference on Precision Agriculture (ICPA) in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to be jointly held with the 11th Brazilian Congress on Precision and Digital Agriculture (11th ConBAP) in partnership with The Brazilian Association of Precision and Digital Agriculture. This marks the first time an ICPA conference will be held outside North America.

Join us 13-16 July 2026 for the 17th International Conference on Precision Agriculture (17th ICPA) and the 11th Brazilian Congress on Precision and Digital Agriculture (11th ConBAP) in Porto Alegre, Brazil.  The combined conference will bring together the global Precision Agriculture audience that ICPA attendees have come to know, as well as a strong representation from Brazil’s research, education, and industry sectors.

 

 

Despite wartime risks, labor shortages, logistical challenges, and increasing climate instability, precision agriculture in Ukraine continues to develop rapidly. In recent years, many farms have shifted their approach — from implementing technologies “for the sake of technology” to systematically managing field economics, risks, and profitability on every hectare.

Today, one of the key drivers of precision agriculture development in Ukraine is the rising cost of inputs and the need to maximize the efficiency of fertilizers, seeds, moisture, and machinery. As a result, farmers are increasingly focusing not only on yield potential, but also on return on investment, operational stability, and minimizing hidden losses caused by field variability.
