10th European Conference on Precision Agriculture (Volcani Center, Israel, July 12 to 16, 2015)
The meeting will provide the platform on which researchers from all over Europe and other continents will meet in order to present the state of the art in the rapidly evolving field of Precision Agriculture. Sixth Asian Conference on Precision Agriculture (ACPA2015)
First announcement: The Sixth Asian Conference on Precision Agriculture (ACPA2015) will be held on November 16 – 20, 2015, South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, China. Theme: Precision Agriculture - less fertilizer and pesticide applications. ACPA2015 aims to provide a forum for presentations and discussions on the current state of precision agriculture research and applications in the Asian region. It also offers a great opportunity for researchers and experts from Asia and other parts of the world to exchange ideas and experience in PA theory development, PA technology innovation and possible extended adoption, and to discuss obstacles and challenges in PA.
 
Fourth International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics 2015
The Fourth International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2015) will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on July 20-24, 2015. The Agro-Geoinformatics 2015 conference will continue covering the recent advances in the life cycle of Agro-geoinformatics, from data collection (including field surveys and remote sensing), processing, storing, archiving, preservation, retrieving, transmitting, accessing, visualization, analyzing, synthesizing, presenting, disseminating to decision making.

The papers demonstrate that the goal of producing more food with low pollution won't be achieved by technological advances alone. Rather this will also require policies that recognize the economic and social factors affecting farmer decision-making.
 
Statistical Concepts and Tools to Aid in Publishing Proper Research Conclusions: eleven articles published, all open access
Agronomy Journal features a set of articles from a Symposium, "Statistical Concepts and Tools to Aid in Publishing Proper Research Conclusions” presented at the 2012 Annual Meetings. These eleven articles, all open access, provide authors and readers with useful information on statistical approaches.
 
Conversation on what's coming in the area of precision agriculture
An article entitled “Farmers of the future will utilize drones, robots and GPS” was published by Professor Alex Thomasson at Texas A&M. It was originally published on The Conversation.
 
The European Commission is looking for 20 experts
The European Innovation Partnership  'Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability' (EIP-AGRI) wants to start a new EIP-AGRI Focus Group ‘New entrants into farming: lessons to foster innovation and entrepreneurship’. The experts will meet at least twice, over a period of 12 – 18 months, to find an answer to the main question: Which patterns characterize new entrants in farming and what can be learnt from them to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture?
 
SENSORDEVICES 2015
The Sixth International Conference on Sensor Device Technologies and Applications will be held from August 23 - 28, 2015 in Venice, Italy.
 
UAV Remote Sensing Principles
This is a one week course (1 - 5 June 2015 – BARCELONA) about state of the art remote sensing techniques using UAV aerial images. Top level UAV professionals and researchers have been invited to share their knowledge and experience on a wide variety of topics.

NDVI surveys were performed with UAV, aircraft and satellite, to assess the capability of each platform to represent the intra-vineyard vegetation spatial variability.
 
HAICTA 2015
Then 7th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies in Agriculture, Food and Environment will be held from September 17th to 20th, 2015 in Kavala, Greece. HAICTA 2015 emphases the applicability of ICT solutions to real industry cases and the respective challenges.
 
Precision agriculture: an opportunity for EU famers?
The Joint Research Center of the European Commission's in-house science service has released a report on the potential use of precision agriculture to help implement the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), upon the request of the European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
