The symposium will take place at Harper Adams University, UK, on 15-16 January 2026, co-organised by the Global Institute for Agri-Tech Economics (GIATE) and the Harper Adams Business School, and supported by the School of Sustainable Food and Farming and the International Network for Economic Research (INFER).
Focus and Topics
We welcome high-quality research papers in the broad field of Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures, including (but not limited to):
- Sustainability in agri-food supply chains
- Productivity and efficiency in the farming sector
- Sustainable economic growth, production, and consumption
- Rural land use and sustainability valuation in agricultural systems
- Adoption and economic impacts of agri-tech
- Environmental and agricultural economics
- Digitalisation, data, and AI applications in agriculture
- Policy analysis for agri-tech and sustainability transitions
- Socio-economic impacts of agri-tech innovations

Paper Submission
Please submit your extended abstract (max 3 pages) or full paper (max 6000 words) using the template available here: www.agritechecon.co.uk/submit-paper.html
Authors may submit more than one paper and are expected to present or discuss at least one paper at the symposium. All submissions will undergo a fast, high-quality peer review, with notifications provided by 30 October 2025.
The symposium aims to foster an international network in agri-tech economics and sustainable futures. Participation is welcome even without a paper submission.
