Biography :

Salim LAMINE is a Professor and International Consultant in Geomatics and Precision Agriculture. He received his PhD from the University of Aberystwyth (UK) in cooperation with the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (Algeria). He studied the GNSS applications at the University of Nottingham (UK), and he worked as an assistant researcher at the university of Aberystwyth (UK). In 2017, He won the International Prize for the Environment “ECOWORLD” from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. He is member of the editorial board of the prestigious Taylor & Francis journal “Geocarto International” and Member of the Advisory Panel for several MDPI Journals. Salim’s research area is multidisciplinary; it includes Remote Sensing; Precision Agriculture, Hyperspectral Imaging; GIS; Field Spectroradiometry; Soil Bio-Geo-chemistry, Water sustainable management, Agricultural Biosystem-Engineering, Climate change, Forest Fire Management, Aerial and space mapping; Heavy metal mapping; Hydro-informatics; Geo-Statistics; Soil moisture and SVAT models. He is author/co-author of +30 peer-reviewed papers published in highly respected journals, +150 international conferences, +5 book chapters. Recently, he published a book about Remote sensing Applications and he is editing another one with ELSEVIER entitled “Remote Sensing in Precision Agriculture” which will be published by 2023.
