ISPA Economics Community Event
On the 19th September 2022 the ISPA Economics Community is hosting a special session at the 5th Online Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures (https://www.agritechecon.co.uk/) organised by Harper Adams University, UK. The session is focused on the Economics and Adoption of Precision Agriculture with Dr David Bullock as a keynote speaker. There are 5 other talks focused on precision farming, robotics and automation in agriculture, and digital twin technology in smart agriculture. 
 
Registration for the whole symposium is FREE for ISPA members. The registration form can be found here: https://www.ispag.org/Events/GIATE
 
All participants will receive a copy of the symposium proceedings and need to be registered by the 15th September 2022.
 
ISO Strategic Advisory Committee on Smart Farming (ISO SAG SF):
ISPA is working with ISO SAG SF to identify gaps in international standards related to agri-tech. Specifically, ISO is looking for precision farming experts to advise the following subgroups on: Crop Production, Livestock, Urban Farming, Climate & Environment, Data, OEM, Social and Economic Aspects, Supply Chain, and Terminology. Dr. David Lamb

Dr. David Lamb

Australia

David is a physicist and has worked in precision agriculture for more than 25 years. He has led more than 40 industry-funded R&D projects. In 2002 he established the University of New England's Precision Agriculture Research Group, in 2007 the internationally renowned UNE SMART Farm (www.une.edu.au/smartfarms) and more recently the Charles Sturt University Global Digital Farm (https://www.csu.edu.au/global-digital-farm).  A passionate advocate for rural and regional telecommunications, David recently completed reviews of telecommunications challenges and opportunities for a number of Australian agriculture sectors and is also an advisor on a number of sector-specific technical innovation groups and communities of interest. David is presently the Chief Scientist of Food Agility, an AU$150M+, 10 year Australian Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) focussed on transforming the agrifood sector using the power of data and digital. He holds Adjunct and Visiting Professor appointments with University of New England, Charles Sturt University and the University of Technology Sydney.
