ISPA Economics Community Meeting Report
Dear ISPA Members,

The ISPA Economics Community held a productive meeting on July 23, 2024 at the ICPA 2024 in Manhattan, Kansas. We're pleased to share the following updates:

Leadership Changes We congratulate Dr. Markus Gandorfer from LFL, Germany, on his election as the new Deputy Leader. Dr. Marius Michels from Georg-August-University Goettingen, Germany will transition to the Leader role until ICPA 2026, after which Markus will take over. We extend our gratitude to Karl Behrendt for his leadership.

Community Growth Our community now boasts 73 members as of July 19, 2024.

Upcoming Events
  1. We're planning a session "Economics and Adoption of Precision Agriculture"  at the 7th Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures. Stay tuned for details.
  2. We're exploring participation in ECPA 2024, with a call for abstracts by September 1st for a session in Barcelona.
Call for Engagement We encourage more economists and social scientists to join our community and welcome ideas for additional activities between ICPA events. We're also considering proposals for future ICPA events to include an economic theme and keynote.

Collaborative Opportunities We're exploring potential joint adoption studies and discussing the establishment of a network for conducting adoption surveys.
